Aroma of history and Canarian flavor
Gofio, a staple food since pre-Hispanic times, is one of the greatest symbols of Canarian identity. In Tacoronte, this tradition is kept alive thanks to two centenary gofio mills that still conserve their original essence.
One of these mills is located in the neighborhood of Agua García, in an environment surrounded by nature and scrubland. It is a witness of the agricultural past of the municipality and keeps the memory of generations who grew up with the smell of roasted grain and the sound of moving stones.
Although it is no longer used for industrial purposes, it continues to be a place much loved by neighbors, visited by those who seek to rediscover the authentic flavors and the deepest roots of Canarian culture.
