Tacoronte lights up its heart in September

Every year, from the end of August until September, Tacoronte is transformed with its Fiestas Mayores in honor of the Santísimo Cristo de Tacoronte, a celebration where devotion, tradition and popular joy fill the streets.

The most emotional act, the Descent of Christ, marks the beginning of a festival deeply rooted in the feeling of the people. It is followed by solemn processions, concerts, sports competitions, fairs, fireworks shows and the expected Dance of the Flowers, a cultural expression that gives color and rhythm to the religious fervor.

These festivities are the soul of Tacoronte, where the spiritual and the festive coexist in perfect harmony, attracting both locals and visitors from all over the island.
