Mesa del Mar is a tourist district of Tacoronte, located 274 meters above sea level and five kilometers from downtown. It is divided into an upper zone, with housing, and a lower zone, with apartments along the coast.
Its main attraction is La Arena beach, with volcanic sand and calm waters, ideal for families. With access through a tunnel, it has a Blue Flag for the quality of its waters and services. It also has a natural swimming pool, solarium, free parking and a small pier.
The neighborhood is home to a picturesque chapel dedicated to Nuestra Señora del Carmen and is located within the Protected Landscape of Costa Acentejo. In 2007, part of its coastline was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest for its Guanche caves of great archaeological value.
