Its exact origin is uncertain, although it is estimated that it was built in the <strong data-start=\"488\" data-end=\"520\">second half of the 17th century.<\/strong> This is attested by a chalice dated <strong data-start=\"560\" data-end=\"568\">1704<\/strong> and documentary references to the hermitage as early as <strong data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"623\">1738<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"987\">The building, oriented from <strong data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"668\">east to west<\/strong>, has a single <strong data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"711\">rectangular nave<\/strong>, 15 meters long and 7 meters wide. Its interior is covered by an elegant <strong data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"828\">wooden apeinazada roof<\/strong>, supported by <strong data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"868\">decorative suspenders<\/strong> with crosses and arrow-shaped motifs, which reinforce the side walls and provide a handcrafted and symbolic touch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"989\" data-end=\"1171\">The fa\u00e7ade features a small <strong data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1046\">stone bell tower<\/strong>, added in <strong data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1067\">1880<\/strong>, with two fronts and an upper cornice that crowns this modest building, but full of history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1384\">The <strong data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1189\">sacristy<\/strong>, located to the left of the main chapel, completes this space of recollection that, in spite of its sobriety, preserves the devotional spirit with which it was built more than three centuries ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1386\" data-end=\"1542\">An ideal place for those who enjoy discovering the hidden treasures of Canarian religious architecture, far from the hustle and bustle and close to authenticity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1578,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categoria":[48,59],"class_list":["post-1851","imprecindibles","type-imprecindibles","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria-heritage","categoria-religious-heritage"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
